Description: Antique 19thc oil on board depicting a still life study of gathered eggs in a blue handkerchief or scarf with muted red polka dots, placed on a table with cut roses. I don't offhand see a signature; it does remind me of several reknowned artists that painted eggs and farm life. Noted craquelure to the painting due to age, and some small scuffs here and there also. Frame original to the period showing wear to edges and gesso as shown. One missing piece of gesso lower right hand side; might benefit from a touch up. Back side has remnants of the original supply sticker. Painting measures approx. 12" x 18", frame is 17" x 23". All sides shown as well as a number of closeups of each section of the painting and frame. Thanks for looking!
