Description: 1966 Orange Kochs Barber Chair dissembling for parts. Missing seat cushion, head rest and leg rest (sheared off). I am keeping the base and pump and base frame but selling everything I have left in one bundle. I rescued this piece of craftmanship from a barn. I considered restoring this but not having the leg/foot rest and missing a seat cushion meant a restoration would not be complete so I figured it would be worth posting if someone needed parts. I only wiped the dirt off so far. I hate to see good quality items go to waste. The first 4 photos are before being disassembled. I will update as any condition or parts available changes. I have torn the covering on the back of the chair back and some of the wood from the panels have been lightly damaged trying to remove the bolts photos of damage shown. Saving all hardware and broken parts for reassembly but separating into parts. Original description: The chair reclines easily. I am not sure if it is supposed to swivel or raise up and down but if it is supposed to it currently doesn't do that. There are small tears/holes in the arms and back rest. The metal is not pitted and only some surface rust and flaking chrome in some areas. The color on the material looks faded, especially on the armrests, the headrest is the least faded. It looks like the part for the leg rest was sheared off somehow. I found a posting for a restored chair on craigslist site for 1966 restored chair asking for $1000. I am taking the chair apart and will pick and choose parts to keep for possible resale. The remaining parts to be sold probably weigh in the 75 pound range (weighed but not exact). Not sure if it is worth shipping but I am willing to take it somewhere local to be crated and shipped as long as buyer arranges and pays for the shipping. That is part of the reason my asking price is low. I may get a quote and update cost of shipping later and will modify the listing. My guess for a minimum Dimensions for a package are 30 inch x 24 inch x 20 inch maybe more depending on the amount of packing used. On I-5 in Roseburg, Oregon if interested in picking it up. I am willing to remove a piece and send it in the mail if that is what is preferred or needed. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
