This unit has the smaller shaft. The casting part number is C3DR with a casting date of 4E22. May 22, 1964. This has HCC- AX 4F08BB tag on it. June 8, 1964. This unit is date coded correct for concourse level 1964 1/2 Mustangs built in the 3 & 4th months of Mustang production. This unit will fit 1965 thru mid-1967 Mustangs. Please note, the casting part number and casting dates are extremely difficult to read when the box is mounted against the front frame. Comes with new pitman arm nut & washer, and steering wheel nut. I do have a few other refurbished GT steering boxes with other dates on them. Please see pictures for more details. After 45 years in the Mustang hobby, parts business, and a big swap meeter, I am thinning down my parts collection. The majority of my parts were obtained 20 plus years ago. I have always prided myself on selling high quality parts--no junk. I will try to provide accurate descriptions. Buy with confidence! Thanks for looking, Paul Steinborn Classic Automotive Ltd
