The eighteenth century saw a wide variety of furniture styles, from William and Mary through Queen Anne, Georgian to Chippendale and Hepplewhite. This work, issued by the Victoria and Albert Museum, provides further insight into the styles of this century. Written by a curator of the Victoria and Albert Museum, Peter Ward-Jackson. This work examines the contrasting rococo and neo-classical styles as well as producing a detailed catalogue of designs. Ward-Jackson produced many books on varying types of craft and art. CONDITION In original full cloth binding and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is bumped to the extremities and chipped to the head and tail of spine, mostly at the front and rear joints. Sticker to the rear wrap from a previous bookseller, with a barcode and the title. A few spots to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean.
