Description: Up for sale is a 1956 Type 1 Franklin silver half dollar that is ANACS certified Proof 66 FS-901. The Type 1 Franklin has the eagle on the reverse from the 1955 and prior die with the 4 flat feathers as opposed to the Type 2 proper eagle. It is believed to have a mintage of less than 3% of the run before the error was caught and the die changed. This is a tougher low mintage date to start with and not many survived in such a high of a grade. Please enlarge photos to get a better look at the item you will receive.
