Description: 1950’s Japan Mikori Ware Lidded Pitcher Set Hand Painted. This is a beautifully hand painted matching pair of lidded pitchers from the 1950’s. Made in Japan by the Mikori Ware Co. this set consists of a large and small pitcher each with lids, painted in lovely florals front and back. The pitchers and lids are trimmed in silver. The pitchers measure approximately Lg. 9.50” tall x 7.50” long x 4.50” wide. Sm. 6” tall x 4.50” long x 3.25”wide. There are some very minor condition issues due to the items age and ware. There are no issues that would hinder the functionality of the set. There is some minor loss of silver trim due to use. There is a very slight craze line on the smaller pitcher near the spout. Please enlarge photo. It’s very difficult to see. The lid for the smaller pitcher doesn’t fit all the way inside the spout. Again please reference the photos. The set is structurally sound. The paint is vibrant and the floral pattern is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful addition to your mid century or modern collection.
