Description: Super rare mail order item in the origin box, very clever little illusion for the time that allows a prankster to move a small metal tab under the box to make Horrible Herman move in a very life-like manner. This is a very early version of the bug in the box gag. Sold in the 1950's-1960's and found in the pages of Famous Monsters Of Filmland Magazine (please see last photo) Box measures 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/8". Box has never been opened until now, this item is nearly 60 years old, Herman is a little dry so you want to handle him with great care, these were made of beads and feathers. Herman is in good shape for being 60 years old, the box is in great shape. Sold as is and as pictured, you are getting the Horrible Herman pictured. Clippings and ad are not included.
