Description: I picked up four identical 1941-46 Chevy Pickup upper grille panels from a chrome plating shop that had gone out of business, the problem is they had stripped the grilles, but then left them out in the chrome shop chemical air for awhile to rust up/pit (no cancer though, just shallow pitting). After sanding smooth, and using body filler for smoothing, I primered the front side, and undercoated the back side (see last photo above). On this particular grille there was no pitting or dents in the CHEVROLET letters on the bottom bar, sooooo buyer can actually buy/apply a set of replacement red letters/decals (ebay #282613913053) onto the lower bar. This is now a solid, durable piece prepared to last another 70 years.
