Description: 1939-1960 PICTURE SHOW ANNUAL: This LOT is comprised of 13 books (12 of which are unique)! Featuring a complete decade run from 1950-1960 with a standalone issue from 1939 and a duplicate for the year 1957. In addition there is a 1939 Picture Show & Film Pictorial letter dated August 23, 1949 typed “With Maud Hughes’ compliments as well as two mail cover packages affixed with their stamps from the Barnes Brothers Booksellers to the Academy Film Service for acquiring some of these books. Also, one newspaper clipping of Frank Perry’s Last Summer (which was stuffed within one of the pages and is dated June 18th 1969). - Hardcovers - First Editions - Original (UK Editions) - RARE (Complete decade runs or LOT listings of these books contained within a single listing is hard to come by… especially in the condition these are in). - ALL are complete (11) VGC and (2) GOOD - See conditioning notes at bottom! NOTE: Due to eBay’s max image capacity I was only able to show you pictures of the front and back covers of all (I refrained from showing the duplicate 1957 issue to conserve as well), some back issues are shown together in 2’s or 3’s towards the end. If you would like to see additional images of these please feel free to contact me at anytime! LANGUAGE: English PAGES: 160 (1939), Approx 100-120 ea for the rest (varies) MEASURES: 8.25” x 10.5” ea. CONDITION: Cover front and back wear in the form of discoloration, corner and edge wear - rounding and slight creasing or crimping to corners. Cover of 1957 may has some cracks or streaks running down it, others may have blemishes otherwise not mentioned or have light scratching and scuffing. Internal pages are nearly pristine with none (I went through each) having ANY writing (aside from one of the 1957’s having pencil writing on inside cover board), loose pages, ripped pages, torn pages, missing pages or cut pages (aside from: same 1957 as aforementioned that has the pencil writing also has inside cover page bottom right corner cut off where NET pricing generally is). Some books may have a slight curl/bow to them which does not interfere with readability. Slight discoloration, yellowing and some corner rounding to some internal pages, noticed very minimal thumbing or spotting throughout. Overall: VERY GOOD for ALL aside from 1957 with the crack lines on the front cover board and the 1950 which has a lot of color loss to its cover which I truly believe was done at original printing process in comparison to other 1950’s out there it is just very yellow and so for those I would say that their condition is GOOD.
