Description: 1929 Vintage Photo by ACME. As a part of the program, the military maneuvers in honor of the attending governors,were held at the Fred Stone Ranch, East Lyme, Connecticut. Here, members of the 169th Infantry, Connecticut National Guard as they passed in review. The 169th Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment of the United States Army, Connecticut National Guard. They trace their ancestry back to when militia units in the Connecticut colony organized for drill in 1672, but their official organization as the 1st Connecticut occurred on 11 October 1739.
