Description: 🔴 1925 POUDRE DJER KISS KERKOFF POWDER COMPACT TASSEL & PUFF Vintage 1920s NOS .Inside has "Poudre Djer Kiss Kerkoff pats. USA 5-19-25 Canada 1924Circa 1924-5 on this Djer-Kiss beauty ! Unlike the Djer-Kiss compacts up to this point in time, this one dispensed with the kissing fairies, in hopes of modernizing their cases, this is thinner &mThe lids both have a great hammered finish, surrounded with a 1/4" wide raised frame of flowers, leaves and lines in cells, which have an antiqued effect in the recesses. The top lid is different from the back lid, only in that it has a very pretty crest centered, with an oblong personalization cartouche...Empty for etched initials..the crest is flanked with flowers and scroll work. Open the compact by pulling up on the top lid's tab, which resides within the stationary looped bale on the compact back lid. The closure is hidden by the purple tassel, which is original - every one of the Djer-Kiss compacts we've ever seen in this style, over our past 40 plus years of collecting, plus the reference materials & ads, show this little purple tassel on this particular compact.
