It's made of solid black walnut and has been given a cursory sanding, although final sanding and fitting will be required onto your particular rifle. If you have any questions or requests feel free to ask! NOTE: Reproduction parts often require fitting to a particular firearm. Please assume that work will be needed out of the box. Thanks! NOTE*: US Krag-Jorgensen rifles have a wide variety of rear sights, and each requires a different handguard. Please make sure of which rear sight your rifle has before ordering. Thanks!
