Description: Very old solid 18k gold signet ring: ~ Features a three letter monogram or initials that I believe read FJK or FTK ~ Rounded capital letter Lombardic script font - commonly used in the 12th, 13th, and 14th centuries or 1100's to circa 1350 and pre-dated the popularity of Gothic Script on signet rings ~ East west set emerald or octagonal shaped - clipped corner rectangular face ~ Scrolling designs highlight the initials ~ Indented dot border ~ Lovely etched or engraved shoulder designs add interest ~ Low profile finger-hugging design makes this very wearable as well as comfortable ~ Estimating that this is a rare late Medieval Middle Ages - early Renaissance period transition piece c 1300's - which would align with the historical use of the font up until the 1350's ~ In times long gone by rings such as this were deeply meaningful and so much more than just mere objects of decoration or adornment - or a fashion trend.
