Richard Sheridan (1751-1816) was an Anglo-Irish playwright who owned the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane in London. His most well-known plays, which are featured in this collection of his dramatic works, are The Rivals, The Duenna, The School for Scandal and A Trip to Scarborough. Also included in this volume are St. Patrick's Day, The Critic, Pizarro and Verses to the Memory of Garrick, with a memoir of the life of Sheridan. CONDITION In a full calf binding. Externally fairly smart, with rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for offsetting to the title page and the odd spot to the first and last few pages.
