My Notes: The Woman In White Famous literary work by Wilkie Collins — The true first printing appeared in a London periodical by Dickens in 1859-1860. There was a First American Edition in 1860. The present set is the 'First German Printing', also 1860. Display as is, or have the spine repaired. For condition: Volume I has the main condition issue: spine cracked and loose along the length of the front hinge. Head of spine has a chip. Front pastedown starting to crack at head and foot. Resulting in the front board being a bit loose. Front board holding by cords and front pastedown. Spine holding only at rear hinge. Front hinge on Vol II is starting. Otherwise, both volumes have shelf wear to boards and points. Both volumes have solid text blocks. No loose pages. Contents are clean and near fine, some tanning.
