Description: This is a rare error desirable and in a nice collectable grade .it was mentioned by an interested potential bidder that the coin had been cleaned . If so and I'm not 100% sure if that is the case it is a long ago clean and it has toned. I think it has that very typical "woody" textured appearance often seen on 1860s pennies.strangely others N over Zs I have have the exact same colour and texture. In the hand it is a light chocolate brown . Added new pictures The engraver accidentally stamped the N in one 90 degrees off . There are numerous other errors on the reverse I believe the Ns of penny also show the same error which results in a die break on the second N . The O in ONE has also been stamped rotated by 90 The leg of the reversal can clearly be seen in specimens and I am unsure why this has not been noted . this also has a die clash. I would say it's a very good VF feel free to disagree and feel free to put in an offer. On the obverse this shows the typical replacing of the C and O and the A of VICTORIA.
