This indication reminded people that many of ourgreatly loved hymns can be sung to other familiar tunes.For example "O For AThousand Tongues" isa Common Meter song. But it can alsobe sung to the tune of "Amazing Grace" and visaversa. Seethe pictures of some of these hymns.
